BROW TATTOO

Complete Healing Guide

Your brows will go through several changes while healing — this is completely expected.

Follow your aftercare carefully and allow your brows time to settle before judging the final result.

YOUR AFTERCARE

DAY OF TREATMENT

Gently wipe your brows every 15 minutes for the next few hours to remove lymph.

DAY 2

Morning + night:

CLEAN → PAT DRY

Wet a clean cotton round with lukewarm water and gently wipe over the brows in both directions to clean.

Gently pat dry.

FROM DAY 3

Morning + night:

CLEAN → PAT DRY → OINTMENT

Continue cleansing as above. Once dry, apply a very small amount of your supplied aftercare ointment.

Continue for 14 days or until your ointment runs out.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Everyone heals a little differently. The timeline below is a general guide to what you may experience while your brows heal.

DAYS 1–3

Fresh + Dark

Your brows may appear darker, bolder or warmer than expected immediately after your treatment. Mild redness or tenderness may also occur.

Don't panic — this isn't your final colour.

DAYS 4–10

Flaking + Changing

Your brows may begin to feel dry and lightly flake as they heal.

Do not pick, scratch or peel the skin. Allow any flaking to come away naturally.

Your brows may also look uneven during this stage as different areas heal at different rates.

DAYS 10–14+

The “Where Did My Brows Go?” Stage

Once the surface has healed, your brows may suddenly appear very light, patchy or as though some of the pigment has disappeared.

This can be a normal part of the healing process. Give them time.

WEEKS 4–6

Settled + Healed

The colour will gradually settle and become more visible as the skin completes its healing process.

Your healed result can then be assessed and any areas requiring refinement can be addressed at your follow-up appointment.

FIRST 10 DAYS

To give your brows the best chance of healing well, avoid:

  • Sweating and vigorous exercise

  • Saunas, steam rooms and excessive heat

  • Swimming

  • Submerging your brows in water

  • Long, hot showers

  • Sleeping directly on your brows

  • Picking, scratching or peeling the area

  • Makeup directly over your brows

  • Skincare products directly over your brows

FOR THE FIRST 4 WEEKS

Avoid facials, chemical treatments, Botox and direct tanning or excessive sun exposure around the treated area.

LONG-TERM BROW CARE

Once completely healed:

SPF is your friend. Apply SPF 50 when your brows are exposed to the sun.

Avoid regularly applying exfoliating acids, retinol or other strong active skincare directly over your brows, as these may contribute to premature fading.

Your cosmetic tattoo will naturally soften and fade over time. How quickly this occurs varies between clients and can be influenced by skin type, lifestyle, sun exposure and skincare.
